Shibani Dandekar, actress, and model, has been dating Farhan since 2018. The two have often posted pictures of each other on Instagram and have attended several family gatherings together.

The two lovebirds are all set to tie the knot in a close-knit traditional ceremony on February 19 at Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra followed by a civil ceremony which will reportedly take place on 21 February. The wedding will be attended by select friends and family members of the couple.

 

According to a source, the family of the actor is said to be keeping the wedding details very quiet in order to avoid attracting unwanted attention from the paparazzi. The wedding will reportedly be a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony, but it is still unclear how things will go down.

Javed Akhtar, Farhan's father, and lyricist had earlier confirmed that the wedding will take place in February. He told the Bombay Times "Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain that is being taken care of by the wedding planners. Taking the situation into consideration it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people. It will be a very simple affair."
