Akshay Kumar replaced Sunny Deol- If the industry grapevine is to be believed, Akshay wasn’t the first choice for the film. It is being said that director Chandraprakash Dwivedi wanted to cast Sunny Deol in the titular role but YRF wanted a more saleable hero than him. “Sunny Deol was Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s first choice for the role of Prithviraj Chauhan. When they were shooting Mohalla Assi in Varanasi five years ago, Dwivedi and Deol had long discussions on Prithviraj. In their discussions, Dwivedi and Deol covered a lot of topics about the film and the character, from what the fi...

Action Jackson is a Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, Manasvi Mamgai, Kunaal Roy Kapur starrer movie directed by Prabhu Deva Vishi is a local goon who basically likes beating up people to get his work done but is nonetheless a kind-hearted person. On the other hand, Khushi is an extremely clumsy girl who keeps losing her chances with destiny and gets suddenly lucky after she accidentally meets Vishi. Amidst the building chemistry between Khushi and Vishi, local cops and an international don named Xavier are on the lookout for AJ aka Jai who is a look-alike of Vishi and is in the same city. The story takes a major turn of events when both AJ and Vishi come face to face. After watching the first thirty minutes of this film, I was thoroughly confused as to why would a sane, working woman (Khushi) run around a local goon (Vishi) to see him naked just so that she can get her luck fixed. Confused? Well, yeah that is exactly what the story of this...

KGF has been making headway in the south films taking over Bollywood , and we are not surprised. Despite its sprawling plot and many characters, Prashanth Neel’s screenplay is highly engaging. His screenplay pays homage to Amitabh Bachchan’s gangster and angry young man films while still managing to push the genre forward. He writes well, even with so many characters and clapworthy scenes. In addition, he is aware that audiences are expecting lots of massy stuff from KGF – CHAPTER, so he has peppered the narrative with plenty of clapable scenes to keep them happy. The Hindi dialogues are very powerful and further enhance the commercial appeal of the film. A few scenes work big time just due to the acidic one-liners. The director has ensured that there’s tons of drama and action throughout the film . In fact, there’s so much happening every moment that viewers won’t even get time to blink! On the flipside, the film does get a bit confusing as there are se...

Jersey movie review: Shahid Kapoor delivers one of his best performances. However, the film's length works against it. After Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor returns to the big screen with Jersey, almost after three years since his last film released. And you don’t feel he has changed one bit, at least as far as his look is concerned. However, his Arjun Talwar in Jersey is far calmer and restrained that the rowdy, angry Kabir Singh. Playing a talented but failed cricketer, a doting father, and a husband trying hard to save his marriage from falling apart, he carries the film on his able shoulders. While he hits it out of the park each time he’s on the field, the film shines in patches and with a disrupted narrative, often loses pace. A Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu film by the same name, Jersey has been written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original. And no prize for guessing, the remake is a scene by scene copy of the original, much like most other south ...

Superstar Salman Khan has recently started shooting for the upcoming Telugu action film “Godfather”, which is headlined by South superstar Chiranjeevi. It is directed by Mohan Raja and marks Khan's debut in the Telugu film industry. Superstar Salman Khan on Monday said it is the heroism in South films that is drawing audiences to theatres, which is lacking in Hindi movies today.   The 56-year-old star, known for massy entertainers like "Wanted" and "Dabangg" franchise, made the remarks while talking about the Pan-India culture in movies at The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) press conference here "We both (South and Bollywood) believed in heroism in cinema. When you come out of theatres, you have a hero. But here, apart from one or two people, we are not making heroism films… "Now people have become cool and think this is clichéd. With heroism, the emotional connect has to be there, that is important. This forma...
